A captivating study of a Aelurillus luctuosus, The high-contrast lighting accentuates its mesmerizing blue-green eyes, giving this jumping spider a startlingly human presence.

Photographed on my Olympus (OM System) system, a stack (100) of detailed exposures allows every fine hair and rich color to stand out in sharp relief.

This sculptural portrait was featured as the central masterpiece in my exhibition at the Natural History Museum, transforming a tiny predator into an iconic work of art.
