A Different Perspective

My name is Efraïm Baaijens (2006), and I am a macro photographer fascinated by the hidden structures of nature. Especially the details, patterns, and textures that are often overlooked. When I look at insects, I don’t just see something small or unwanted. I see characters. Each one has form, presence, and expression that only becomes visible when you take the time to look closely. Through my photography, I try to transform these often misunderstood subjects into living art. I reframe them through light, composition, and detail, so their beauty comes forward instead of their reputation. Along the way, I keep learning, experimenting with new techniques, improving my craft, and refining how I capture and present these worlds. What I hope to share is simple: a world that has always been there, just waiting for someone to really see it...
